Pequannnock Township Junior Fire Department

Attention all young aspiring heroes! Are you interested in learning valuable skills that could potentially save lives? Do you have a passion for community service and want to make a positive impact in your neighborhood? If so, our junior firefighter program might be just what you're looking for!

The Pequannock Township Junior Fire Department is open to young people between the ages of 14 and 17 who are interested in learning the ins and outs of firefighting. As a junior firefighter, you'll not only learn about fire safety, fire prevention, and firefighting techniques in a safe and supervised environment, but you'll also have the opportunity to respond to emergencies with us as a true member of the department!

In addition to on-the-job training, junior firefighters also have the chance to attend the County Fire Academy at age 16, where they'll receive in-depth training from experienced firefighters. And the volunteering hours and certifications earned through our program look very impressive on college applications and resumes.

But being a junior firefighter is more than just learning firefighting skills. You'll also gain valuable life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and communication. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside other young people who share your passion for helping others, and you'll make lifelong friends in the process.

So what are you waiting for? Join the Pequannock Township Junior Fire Department today and start your journey towards becoming a real-life hero! Contact us at to learn more about how you can get involved.
